A client has come back

Written on August 25th, 2010 by mesasmilesno shouts

We are particularly proud of our client retention here at Infinity Dental Web, which is over 97% of maintenance clients retained for two years or longer. We did have one that discontinued their SEO/maintenance contract with us earlier this year, and is now coming back.

We were able to obtain traffic statistics for a two-year period, and we think that what it shows is revealing. Here is the traffic pattern, as measured by the web-stat web metrics program:

Dental website SEO traffic

We have been doing their SEO, as you can see, since June 2008, and from July 2008 to November 2009, we were able to more than double it.

In late December, this client contracted with their existing design firm to re-do the design. There is somewhat of a gap in the counter traffic for part of December, and all of January, because of needing to reconfigure the traffic software. At that point, the client decided to try someone else for SEO.  You can see the effect on the traffic was severe, cutting it back to less than half of what it was while we were taking care of their SEO. And from May to August 2010, it decreased every month.

We’re happy to welcome the client back, and will enjoy getting their traffic back up and helping them convert that traffic into patients.

And this graph is also instructive for our new clients. Notice that, while it is in the growth phase, the traffic grows in spurts. Some months there may be less traffic than the month before, but the overall trend is an upward climb. Notice also that once we hit the twelfth month and we have reached the promised traffic levels, we continue to do SEO and traffic keeps increasing. If you stay with us, our goal is to continue increasing your traffic year after year. This is one of the secrets to our client retention.

Make Sure Your Staff is Helping With Your Conversions and Tracking

Written on August 17th, 2010 by christinno shouts

As good as the websites that Infinity Dental Web creates are,  we remind all of our clients that although we can get people to find you on the web and call your practice,  it’s up to your staff to effectively transform that phone call into a new patient!

Infinity Dental Web utilizes a number of ways to help make this happen.  We can offer your practice call tracking,  so that our staff can monitor the effectiveness of your staff’s verbal conversion skills.  We also provide our clients with regular reports on their website traffic, which helps them determine not only how many visitors they’re receiving each month, but also where they’re coming from.

Infinity Dental Web also encourages and coaches its clients to always be thinking about tracking your marketing campaign.  The staff and doctors at any practice should always be willing to ask their patients  ”How did you find our website ?”,  ”What search term did you use to find our website ?”,  ”What search engine did you use to search for a dentist in your area ?”,  and of course,  the old standard-bearer  ”How did you find out about us ?”

How Is Infinity Dental Web Different From It’s Competitors?

Written on July 27th, 2010 by christinno shouts

How is Infinity Dental Web different from other Internet marketing companies? We’re different because of our traffic guarantee and how committed we are to our clients’ success. Each website package level we offer is based on a specified number of monthly traffic, measured by the Webalizer statistical program. Our guarantee states that if we don’t meet the designated traffic level within one year, ongoing monthly maintenance fees are waived until the targeted traffic level is achieved. Here are our four guaranteed package levels we offer:

  • Performance SEO – 500 visits/mo.
  • High Profile SEO – 1000 visits/mo.
  • Dominating SEO – 2000 visits/mo.
  • Dominating Exclusive SEO – 2500 visits/mo.

Not only do we guarantee traffic, but we are committed to our clients’ success. Dr. David Hall, a former cosmetic dentist and President of Infinity Dental Web begins each SEO project with deep market research, along with a one-on-one client interview. This is so Dr. Hall can formulate a customized marketing plan that will eventually surpass the client’s minimum traffic guarantee. Then, the entire web content is rewritten to contain Dr. Hall’s high-powered SEO strategies, in addition to streamlining the website’s content and functionality for patient conversion.

Provided below is an example of a Dominating SEO client’s traffic. This client came to us almost 18 months ago. When we first launched the site, his traffic was under 500 visitors per month, and 6 months later, his traffic increased to 2000 visitors per month. This means we met his traffic guarantee within 6 months. However, we’re never satisfied to just meet our minimum traffic guarantees…we continue to fine tune each website for maximum performace. As you can see, after 17 months, this client’s traffic is now fluctuating between 3000 to 3500 visits per month, and it will continue to increase over time.

A typical trend we’ve been seeing among our clients is that the Internet traffic tends to spike, level, slightly fluctuate, and then spike around the 15 to 18-month mark.  1 to 3 months – upward spike. Web crawlers search the website for quality, relevant content, links and etc.

  • 1 to 3 months – upward spike. Web crawlers search the website for quality, relevant content, links and etc.
  • 4 to 6 months – leveling off period.
  • 7 to 10 months – upward spike as the website’s position advances.
  • 11 to 14 months – slight upward, downward movement.
  • 15 to 17 – upward spikes and slight leveling off as the website continues to build history and strength.

When it comes to Local Search Optimization, BE CAREFUL !!

Written on July 12th, 2010 by christinno shouts

Infinity Dental Web , in addition to website SEO and maintenance, provides its clients with optimization of their Google Business Listings. In monitoring the placement/presence of our clients’ GBLs, we have seen the plethora of pitches and claims being put forth by a variety of online outfits regarding their ability to optimize the Google listings of businesses.

In regards to these claims, Infinity Dental Web has one piece of advice:  BUYER BEWARE !!   Many of these claims will ‘guarantee’ placement on the first page of Google, or a “#1 ranking in your market” for the search term you decide to optimize your business for.  It’s our belief that the more outrageous the claim, and the more it sounds like a Used-Car-Salesman type of pitch, the more careful you need to be.

As with the optimization of websites within the Google matrix, the only thing that works with local search optimization is time, genuine and comprehensive information, and diligence.  IDW can be trusted to optimize your Google Business Listing using the tools that we confidently believe provide sturdy, long-lasting, believable results:  diligence, quality  information and research, vigilance, and a comprehensive knowledge of not only our clients’ businesses but also the best way to represent them within the online spectrum.

New Google Business Listing optimization service

Written on April 13th, 2010 by christinno shouts

Infinity Dental Web recently added a new specialized service to our repertoire of SEO strategies. Customers are becoming more and more geocentric in their search for services, including dentists. They want to find a great dentist that’s close to them, and they want to do it fast.
Our president and vice president recently attended intensive training in the cutting-edge tactics involved in maximizing our clients’ Google Local Business Listings.
Google Business Listings do not make it to the top of the Google “7-pack” on their own. They have to be constantly evaluated, updated, streamlined, and enhanced. They have to be optimized, just as you would a website.
All of our clients are now benefitting from this new service, and we’re thrilled that they all understood the importance of not letting their Google presence being negatively affected by a Business Listing that was anything less than dynamic.

To learn more about our GLBLO program as well as the other services we provide, please visit Infinity Dental Web.

Our latest #1 ranking

Written on February 2nd, 2010 by mesasmilesno shouts

The Boca Raton market proved to be a little tougher than we had estimated. But with our five-star exclusive clients, we keep pushing for that #1 ranking until we get it. It ended up taking us about nine months to get Dr. David Kagan to be #1 for Boca Raton Dentist, but we did it.

Dr. Kagan sent us an e-mail today: “I am very pleased and grateful that you have been able to get me up to first position in Google!”

Some Thoughts on Search Engine Optimization

Written on November 17th, 2009 by mesasmilesno shouts

We just finished a successful meeting, connecting with several potential clients at the ACE Symposium on Periodontics and Systemic Health in Scottsdale.

In conversing with one prospect we met at the meeting, I had occasion to ask what he was paying for Search Engine Optimization. $500 per month, he told us. When I analyzed his site, I saw that he was showing up on page 4 of Google for his main targeted keyword – which was “(placename) cosmetic dentist” where the place is a suburb of about 250,000 population and extremely non-competitive. His home page had a Google Pagerank of 1, and the Planet Ocean Site Strength Indicator Tool gave him a site strength of 7.69 out of 100, which is very poor. I asked him to forward his traffic report, and it showed an average of 31 visits per month search engine traffic. But with a pathetic page 4 listing, what would you expect? People searching for his name will find him, but not much more.

The question in my mind is “what is this SEO company doing for this dentist?” I can’t imagine anything useful they are doing for him, yet they are collecting $500 per month. By contrast, for our high-powered SEO package, we guarantee 2000 visits per month for a monthly fee of $395, and we often actually get double that traffic for the client. Pull out your calculator, and you’ll see that we get our clients over 60 times the traffic this dentist does, and for less money.

The moral:  There is a lot of “snake oil” being sold in the SEO industry. Beware!

There’s an interesting article titled “SEO Smoke and Mirrors” in the November Website Magazine. Click the link to read it.
