About This Dental Marketing Blog

Infinity Dental Web is sponsoring this blog as a way to air issues in dental marketing.

Dental marketing is changing. When I opened my practice thirty-some years ago, professional advertising  was frowned upon, and in many states there were strict limitations on it. For example, as a new dentist, I could post notices in my local newspaper that I was open for business and accepting new patients, but that was about all I could say. The size of the ad was also regulated, as well as the time window when it was permissible. Then the FCC stepped in during the eighties and helped remove the barriers to advertising as unconstitutional restrictions of free speech.

And today we have all sorts of external marketing going on.

This blog will mostly deal with marketing as it relates to the use of the Internet, but we will also deal with other issues. Browse the categories listed on the right, or search the blog with the search window. Comment if you’d like.

To deal with spammers, we only leave posts open for comments for two days. If you want to comment after that, click here to reach our comment form.
